We love films!

The idea of FilmFrame was born spontaneously. As films school students, we decided to create a documentary about journeys, memory and the significance of preserving images. We set out to find seven unknown Asian tourists solely based on their lost photographs, in a world where every fourth person is Chinese. After three years of searching, we were astonished to see our story becoming a part of the Chinese television industry. (LOST HOLIDAY)

Together with European artists, we told a story of people caught in extreme life situations — A drama about denying one's own self, about doing wrong in the name of survival, and about the fear that drives human choices in times of war. (LITTLE KINGDOM)

For seven years, we followed a story of friendship, love, hard work, and karaoke — of two best friends, Nguyet (Miluška) and Chung (Lida). Both came to the Czech Republic from Vietnam at the age of thirteen, without their parents. Their story is also ours — a story about coexistence in today’s Europe, of which we are an inseparable part. (LITTLE HANOI)

In the present, through six intertwined stories, we explore how crossing borders — both physical and emotional — reveals who we are and what connects us. (LAST TRAIN TO KYIV / NEW NEIGHBOURS)

We also bring attention to the issue of human trafficking. Our character Jana doesn’t embark on a “journey” — she finds herself trapped in a secret world full of both luxury and suffering. Jana is an accidental victim, sold for sexual exploitation. (TRAFFICK)

The films we create are challenges that shape and move us — both artistically and personally. We form deep connections with them and often build strong bonds with filmmakers and collaborators from different countries. These relationships enrich our knowledge and experience and deepen our understanding of other cultures.
